The Destroyer

Depression is
Learning to live with heightened sensitivity
Grieving so much for all the pain in the world you don't want to be part of it anymore
Depression is Changing you
And Telling you you need to change things in your life
Depression is Making everything harder

Depression is trouble holding your heart in a fast grip
Working out the best way to send yourself into the big unknown
Depression is making a big fat black hole in the fabric of your current reality
Letting you know in bouts of startling lucidity that if you don't work things out you will die
Yet in equally startling bouts of lucidity in happy times comes the knowledge that life is worth living
Depression is Making death seem like the easy way out of the murky waters that your consciousness has become
Depression is Feeling like you're constantly drowning
Depression is cutting you off the rest of the living because you're already half dead

Depression is when everything in your life feels like it has reached its terminal stage and you keep running out of battery.
Depression is when death looks like a freaking holiday, even though it very probably isn't. But it's still tempting.
Depression makes you think Valium is the best drug in the world, ever.
Depression makes you feel like a worthless piece of shit
Depression makes you believe the people that tell you bad things about yourself.

Recently I started one about Happiness.
Oh and I'm going to skip the winter this year. ;)
