I started the year with the obvious killer hangover and no expectations whatsoever , seeing as last year was pretty drab and fickle (apart from a couple of things in my life which never failed - sense of unease, awesome boyfriend). In January I decided to change my luck (ah if there's such a thing as luck), regardless of how long this would take. And it didn't take that long at all.
Several unrelated courses, meditation practice, loads of to-do lists and a successful project proposal later, I'm sitting in a new vintage clothing shop in West London listening to Bowie's young americans. and it's awesome. OK, it's Willesden Green, ok, it's only for a couple of months, but hey, massive improvement.
